    Question Wheel spacers

Looking at the astra the other day, i though that it would look better with the wheel a bit further out.

i know the proper way would be to get some wider wheels, but i'm trying to stop spending on the astra (all funds to the GTI). Now if i was to install some spacers (nothing drastic, max 10mm) would this have a huge detrimental affect on the handling and tyre wear of the car? (car's already lowered ~40mm)

Bear in mind that it's not a track car, just a daily driver, and it's purely for cosmetic reasons

it will wear your tyres out a little bit but you wouldnt really realise any diffrent.the only bad thing is that it will increase the stress on your wheel bearing.is there a point just putting 10mm spacers?i would go for 20 or 25mm.
