    gettin Paint matched..

    Hi,

I need help, my mk1 is sprayed in a Flip paint, Black to Purple...

This issue is I need to repalce a wing, how the hell do i get the paint matched, & is there a Special way of spraying with Flip paints, i.e. one way only...?

Can Paint factors break down the paint from a Scrapping?

    many thanks

As long as the flip isn't a custom mix you shouldn't have too much trouble. Apparently it is pretty easy to blend in. Do you know the make/colour name of the paint?

I did think it was the Ford Panther black (well the one used on the top sepc mondeos, that seems to flip to purple), but sprayed a old wing & it looks nowt like it....

thinking maybe the Golf VR6 flip now, though very good chance it could be a mixed jobbie, can paint factors break down paint from a chip of the paint I have..?

are you sure it is easy to match. nissan used to offer the primera in that green through to brown and i was told that it was impossible to match, the whole car would requie painting.

A good motor factors should be able to match it pretty close (you should never notice with a blend in) - just make sure you inspect any work in sunlight before paying.
Incidentally, Panther Black is a pearl, not a flip, so any bodyshop would be able to mix this colour (shouldn't have to special order any paint).

I have been relyably informed that flip paint is easy to match. The fact that it changes colour actually makes it easier to match.
