Add on for Holden (Opel) Calibra
Hi guys - here in Australia, the word "Calibra" is not understood by Holden (GM) dealers even though they marketed the car under the local brand for a number of years. As such getting ANY info is impossible and the 3rd party market for bolt on "bits" is non-existent. (A new airconditioning compressor took 5 months and A$3000 to get!)
What I am chasing is a source to be able buy and ship to Oz add on bits such as a rear spoiler and any other body kit enhancements that may be available for my car. (2litre 16 V 1991 YE model)
Anyone able to assist or point me in the right direction? I have tried
http://www.ccmotorsport.co.uk/vauxha...a-spoilers.htm
But they don't answer emails or return phone calls.
Thanks!
David

AUD3k for an air cond compressor!!! that is day light robbery! If you need any compressors or anything to do with aircondition just drop me a line at ivan@tvr.com.my and i'll help you source for it here.
As for other accessories, you'll have to buy parts directly from the UK. That is what I am doing...well atleast I buy spare parts from the UK.

Australian "bits"
Thanks Ivan 'ppreciate that. Its a worry when you drive into a Holden Dealer and a spare parts guy says "what model car is that"???
The clips that hold the upholstery panel in place on the sunroof (6 galv clips about 1" in diam. cost me A$85.
But I won;t let 'em grind me down. Love the car too much

The right direction is over on Club Calibra . We have quite a few Aussie members who will help you source the best and cheapest parts from the UK. You will find those guys can save you a lot of money when it comes to replacing things like clutches (i heard Holden charge $2000?) and head gaskets etc.
