    cavalier dash lights

    my mate has a cavalier m reg 1995, his light has gone out behind the heater control in the center, ive never touched a cav, anyone know the quickest way to get to them?

    there isnt a easy way to get to them but when you do i advise you rewire them to the clock light as then they will only come on with the lights and not burn out so quickly

    i have had a cav for 3 years and muine have never worked

    That bulb is a bit of a bugger to change:

    Remove plastic trim from underneath speedo/clocks to expose heater panel screws.

    Remove clock or trip computer to expose the screws on the other side of the heater panel.

    The panel will now move away from its fixed position, but not very far - about an inch, dont pull the panel out as you may disconnect the heater cables.

    You can just about see the bulb holder (side nearest time clock), reach down with fingers and pull out bulb holder and replace bulb.

    Refit bulb holder and put trim back in place.

    Ps - try not to disconnnect the rear screen switch plug connector at the rear of the heater panel also when you pull heater panel out slightly.
