    Number plate foam.

Dunno if this is the correct section to post but here goes.

Bought a new set of number plates as mine have cracked and are very loose.

The boot lid is standard so the plate is in its original place currently screwed in. I want to fix the rear plate via sticky pads which I have (2mm thickness) but I was wondering if there is any foam I can buy to put down where there will be no tape holding the plate. This is so the unbonded arears dont rattle when the sub is on at higher volumes. e.g. my dads Cav SRi hatch has foam in shape of the plate which the plate rests on so you get no rattles.

    Thanx

Could you not just use more sticky pads, but not remove the paper bit?

Oh so the 2mm think sticky pads should be enough to keep it away from the skin of the boot?

In that case great, can fit em on sooner.

    Thanx for the swift replies

it`s cheaper to buy a roll than say 4 packs of the pads and will stick better and last longer.
