    trashed cav

as above really,my new project for 2007 got trashed lastnight so now its destiny is the breakers in the sky, every single window was put out and i dunno what to do with it,does anyone know if a windscreen can be replaced(home fit),i really cant afford to get it done new,it wasnt insured as was in driveway and was project, rung rounda bit and the cheapest i found was just under £400 and tbh i aint got that sort of money, thats quarter of the modding budget blown on 1 bit of glass

I was told a couple of months ago when I got my heated front screen that the current trade price on a standard Cav tinted front screen is about £70. There is a definite skill to fitting them!

Pm Jack, he is d.i.y fitting is front windscreen i believe.
All the other windows are dead easy to fit by yourself, and with the rear screen, personally id just change the whole boot over.

if your still gona turn it into a pickup, then i wouldnt worry too much bout back windows, and i woulda thought you could get the front windscreen and windows for £10-40 from a scrappy if needs be.
good luck what ever you do!

if it`s insured get it done through that, check to see if you have windscreen cover, you may have to pay 50-60 quid but it`ll be done properly.

It was me, I'm a loose cannon just now man.

We paid around £150 for a BMW 323 windscreen fitted. That was with autoglass I think. Shop around, its an old car, £400 is outrageous.

    to get more petrol.
£400 sounds about right TBH. Have you tried shattered? They are based in Norwich, cost me £100 for a new windscreen for my Calibra.
