speedlines on an astra mk3 gsi

i have seen a few mk3 astras with speedlines on them, but when i tried to put a set on an astra i seemed to have a few problems. firstly the center caps would not go on because of the drive shaft being to far out of the hub so i left the caps off then when i went to take it for a run the inner lugs of the caliper took a nice groove out of the inside of the wheel.
so basically im wandering if anyone else has had problems with these wheels????

I think people trim down the driveshafts to make them fit. Not sure about the caliper situation though, what size brakes do you have?

You need to trim the thread on the outer CV off with a grinder. Make sure you clean the ends up or you'll knacker the castellated nut & it wont stay tight (not good).

The caliper needs some metal skimmed off the lugs that hold the pad retaining spring in. I did it with a dremel. Its not structural to the caliper before you worry. But it seems odd tha yrs ago almost 100% of Novas had these wheels & brakes & I hadnt ever heard of the calipers catching.

The other option is 5mm spacers on the wheels, which will help with the looks a tad.
