Well after 8 months on and off it's nearly finished my 1.6 astra S, it's had new arches (both sides) new sills (both sides) new corners and the back bottom (both sides) new valance, new wings and work here and there)

Thats a hella lotta welding eh? well it's almost finished being put back togeahter now, the interior is very cleen and i've fitted a new stereo and bass box so thats all done.

First prob is i've gone and got myself a DIGI-Dash, wired it all up put the speed transducer on there and guess what? It works perfecyly fine, only problem is it's bigger than my crappy 1.6 mk1 dash and i can see behind it, how'd i fill the hole up? i've seen other guides on mk1 dash conversion but havn't seen much about the trim around it.

Second problem is bodykit, got me some nice 17" 205 / 40 wheels with nice tyres that look superb but as it's a noraml 1.6s it's got no bodykit on it, Im gonna get the electric mirrors off a mk2 but stuck for advice on what to put on it, I also forgot to mention it's got 4 doors :/

Any advice guys / gals? Surely somones done something with a mk1 other than a GTE before now..

and if your wondering why not just get a mk1 gte - Insurance!!
