Question Mk4 arches on Mk2 rear?

One of my arches is slowly slipping into rust retirement and spoils the pretty clean chassis.

Just wondering whether it is possible to put Mk4 arches on a Mk2? I know anything is possible, but would they look rediculous?

I'd like to fatten the rear of the car and not sure wide arches are quite what I am after.

I know this is kitted a bit, but the shape is what I am after.

Anyone car to PSP me up something?

    These are trying times

Just trying to think my way through a plan. In a silly way even what I did today gave me a bit of inspiration. If I can think of a plan to follow and be semi-creative I would be less inclined to stray from the car I already own.

At the same time I could make sure the arches would accomodate a nice set of 16's and slap some wheels under nice new arches.

I have already come to terms with a few things, have spent so much on this car, averaging over £125 a month. Yeah it's old, but in another 6 months there wont be an original part left...

if you do the rear uns then youd have to do the front ones to match.

I've got round arches on my Nova at the mo...
the Mk 2 had flat arches like the Nova yeah?
give u an indication of what it would look like, but not fat kit on the arch...

many people dont like round things where its supposed to be flat ... I dunno... what u think?

Erm.. undecided on Novas, I like the square Arch. I just think some subtle hints from the Mk4 Astra could go some way to modernising the Mk2.

Maybe if you do the front, to go with it else it'll look a bit odd.

already thought about this you'll need mk4 VAN rear arches, as they wrap further down towards the bumper. the front ones are a definate requirement though. otherwise it would look pap.

Tell you one thing, When I get me next valver im defo gonna be lookin for a mk4 rear bumper to play with.

That makes and old car look bang up to date and in my opinion it looks better than the newer car.

I was gonna have a go but I can never find the right pics i.e angle, colour - usually TOO dark or TOO light to match it on photo shop. If anyone has a "dead-on" front view of the mk4 astra then can ya post it or something plz? Preferbly in silver/white/grey

    Thumbs up

Yeah the thread was removed, I'm looking into a couple of things and just didn't wanna leave it for all to see. Silly perhaps, too late.. maybe.

I had also done a Mk4 front with new grill and headlight trickery.

    Looks very nice.

    Mmmm Revolution
