Tom, looking good pal. Did the bodyshop remove everything, ie lights, everything.? reason I asked, while phoning around, one local bodyshop said, they wanted me to remove everything
    myself on their premises.

Im dreading mine going to be done, I will however record the progress like you have. I need quiet a bit doing to the body too, ie, arches replacing, and dents/chips removed etc.

Can you or anyone recommend a good bodyshop no too far away from me.?

The paint place is Pollards at Frampton on Severn.
I'm really enjoying this actually. I'm not missing the car much! It's because it's given me a chance to do things properly.

I'm having the inlet manifold polished tomorrow. Plus I'm having the injectors cleaned whilst they're out.

Recommend a place near Shrewsbury? Sorry I can't. Best to ask around, word of mouth is best advert for a place.

That slam panel - poor quality accident repair to blame. The gap between the bonnet and headlamps was different one side from the other. This should sort that.

Just been round to take another look. They've had to jig the car because they found both front legs out of alignment by 3/4 of an inch. Thorough this place. I've got some more pictures which I'll upload later.

The interior is going back together next week, back to standard for now.

The manifold is Irmscher, it will be polished to near mirror finish. I'm just finishing off the throttle housing, that will be polished too.
Cam cover and cam box will be done eventually. I don't want to take the cam cover off at the moment becuause all the dust will get into the engine. I might pick another one up from the scrappers.

Well the base cost for the job was £800 ish.
That was for new wings, bonnet, rear arches, delocking, rust treating, spraying in Red, and waxoyling bits.
This fitting of new slam panel and jigging is going to add to that, say £150 to £200 I'd guess.
I won't be surprised if the total job comes to £1100-£1200 inclusive of VAT.
You get what you pay for and I'm really impressed with Pollards and their attitude. They don't mind me coming round every other day, they tell me what's going on, they decided to jig it because they couldn't get the panels lined up properly. It's a very thorough and professional job.

    Thats sounds a good price.

Im expecting to pay around the same, proberly up to £1500.

Im looking to have both rear arches replaced, Full respray (Same colour) Mettalic Burgundy 73L, and a few vandle damge dents removed.

Im then looking to get the windows tinted 35%.

    Thanks for the reply Tom.
