Ive gone with the de-badged look, even my alloys don't reveal how many stud's Ive got.

I'd rather let people Guess what i have. My car is my personal property, and no-one pays me to advertise so thats all Im saying in the matter. lmao (yep, Ive been at the Carling again)lmao

That's identical to no5 (if all you've changed is the upper white area on the 8). Oh yes, you've sharpened up the middle edges of the 8.

The only difference between 4 and 5 is that on 4 I made the white bit a bit smaller in the 8.

Anyway, for me it's between 4,5 & 9. They're all similar and simple.

Do not fear, I'm not waiting around any more on this.
I'm having the badge place make me some next week.

As to leaving them off; nah this is a GTE 8v and proud.

even the 16v version of the sticker, is something i'd peel off straight away.. 80's tat imo.

but it would be different, and to a vaux nut, an interesting touch.

apart from anyone on mig that is, as we've seen enough 8V and BV badges to last us a fair while...

I tend to agree about tat. But I'm allowing myself one bit of tat and this is it. I think it will be entertaining, ppl in the know might say "they never made 8v badges?". Also, with my tuning plans taking shape I want "that can't be an 8v" style comments.

Black stripe is gone and not coming back. I used to like it, but when I removed it I think the car looked better. More Red that way.

So current plan is that it stays Red, with on the bottom left hand side:
    GTE
    8v

Obviously it's a matter of opinion, but I think the debaging thing has been take too far. It always brings back traumatic memories of kiddies in 1.4 Orions that have been debadged.
It's a GTE, so the GTE badge is remaining.

I didn't "feck around with it"! I did some very tasteful and effective modification of essential mechanical componentry.

Only joking. Anyway, the 8v badges are a bit of laugh - I want people going "aha it's only an 8v, the 16v are sooooooo much faster". Ha ha.

    Thumbs up

Me thinks you should leave it off... not much difference between them anyway, no one is going to know...

why not just stick a 16V badge on, or none at all!

    go for the ole' mysterious!
