Depends if its 3 or 5 door (5 scrub more) and as said above the offset.

A 5 door cant be lowered 60mm on et37 as rob found out the hard way.

If it was a ET45 I would have said you'd be fine, but I'm not so sure with a 40 I know you certainly wouldn't get away with it on a Mk2, but the arches on the Mk3 are a little more forgiving.

Id try and keep the drop level. I hate "nose heavy" cars. Maybe drop to 16"s with the 60mm drop

I had mine on 18s et45, dropped 40mm front, 60mm rear, sat evenly front to back.

    No arch mods, no rubbing!

if it don't scrub...... it ain't low enough!!!

^ that car looks really nice. I was thinking or lowering it at the front 60mm instead of 40mm cus the front is slightly higher to strt off with so i thought that it would look fine. Its the offset of my wheels that let me down by being 40 so iam unsure weather it will rub with ppl in the car droped 60mm at the bk.Thanx 4 all of ur help
