How much could i lower a cav on 16's with 195/45/16 rubber?
Without doing much modding if its possible?
Cheers

60mm providing the offset of the wheels is close to et49.
When putting larger wheels onto a car, its always safe to get the arch lips rolled just for precautionary measures. Ive got 17" wheels coming with offset of ET49 (Vaux offset) and I am gonna get lips rolled...better safe than sorry.
You can do it yourself or you get wheel places to do it. Bout £10 an arch or something like that.

I have mine lowered 60 with 17*7 wheels on a 49 offset... never had any problems with them rubbing. Unless i have had 2 ppl in the back and a boot full of camping equipment![]()
But if i had the option i would have got the arches rolled but no-one this far north will do it. (inverness)
i got 16s with 205-45-16.. i lowered my car 80mm on spax kit the only arch work i had done was the rear arch lips.. the wheels dont even rub even on full load..![]()

was the kit just the springs and/or shocks or woteva?
If it was just the springs wer did u get the 80mm kit from and how much?
80mm gmax lowering springs, with spax short piston adjustable shocks.. uprated front lower arms, uprated anti rol bar links, front lower and upper strut brace.. rear strut brace and spax polyurethane bushes all round..thats iti tried 60mm springs but the car dident seem to look low enough so i went radical and got gmax to make me a set of additional 80mm springs... now my car handles sweet...
spax psx dampers 79.99 for fronts from my local performance.. that was about 3 year ago, and rears 49.99, 60mm gmax springs cost me 82.50 but i returned them coz i werent satifyed with lowerin and they gave a 80mm spring kit without extra charge..
