    Seat Splitters, which one?

I rang up my local Seat dealer asking for an Ibiza Splitter and the guy immediately said he knew what I was after, the one all the Nova boys are after he said. So I told him that must be the right one and asked him to order it.

Anyway when I came to pick it up it was not the usual one you expect, but still looked just as good, so I took it for 14quid But now I wish I hadn't because no matter how much cutting, heating, bending I do, there is no way in hell it will fit round the corners of my bumper. Are the other Seat splitters this difficult?

Incidentally I have noticed there are loads of dfferent splitters going round on Seats. Which is the most flexible and easiest to fit to a Mk2 Astra, because the one I got was not.

Yeah that's the one I thought I was getting, but mine has two curved sort of pillars in between the gaping hole. I think the one you mean is easier to fit. What car does it actually come from?

Yeah I see you've done a good job on getting the corners to sit flush. The one I was given is a ***ing nightmare to get the corners to bend with the bumper, it is just far too rigid. You don't know the part number I suppose? Should I ask for this one:

Thats the right one , its the GTI one , we had a nightmare doing it too , youve got to cut away most of the bottom lip to get it to bend and use a self tapper every 5 cm's or so to keep it in place , also we used boiling hot water to make it more bendy took 4 hours but it hasnt budged an inch and sits perfect.

Dunno if this helps but in the fittin guides that i have read ppl have said u might need 2 cut out 'V' shapes in the corner of the splitter 2 help it mould round the curve of the bumper???

    Hope this helps??
