    Chroming

i'm gonna get some bits chromed but i have a problem - one of the metal parts has some instructions painted on the top for a few dials it surrounds - if i get the whole thing chromed i'll lose them, and won't know how to set it properly.

so, is there any way i can "mask" an area off so that it's not chromed when the peices go in for being done?

I'm thinking of taking a photo of it, copying it in illustrator, and printing it out on transparency as an overlay either perminantly or as a refrance when i come to change it...

Also, will the chrome get into a couple of threading that are on the bits of metal?

    Does anyone still remember me?

Not sure this is much use to you Cris, but I can get stuff spray chromed. So if you have any plastic bits and peices, then let me know.

    Nothing !
Why dont you just copy the instructions down and then you have them..... then reapply them later.
I only realised I was dyslexic when I turned up at a toga party dressed as a goat...........
