is it possible to use this and paint your speedo dial bulbs instead of the plug n play led's u can get?

I was considering this, but it does make the bulbs dimmer. Then again, if you get cheapie LED's, you get a very dim display anyway.
But I would certainly not pay that much, I'd get some glass paint from an art shop for much less.

I'm hoping to experiment soon with the dash switches, before I head into the display. I'm going to try various LEDs, and various paints, aiming for a blue display. I'll post anything I find, combine that with peoples comments before and you should have a pretty good idea.

I've got some of that stuff, green and red.....if you want the green..PM me and you can have it!!
I used the red to paint the bulbs in my centra console and those in my clock display.....comes out very red and very nice!! I would strongly recommend to bake the bulbs when possible to get a better finish!!
As for using them behind the speedo etc, it should look ok if you don't have white dials!! if you have white dials, forget it, you won't see feck all!!
