I'm not a fan of stick on tat, as you might know. However, I've allowed myself one bit of fun in that I'm getting some GTE 8v badges made.
The GTE bit will be std vauxhall item. I've found a signs place that can CNC print the 8v but.
I've mocked up the 8v letters in AutoCad based on some measurements I made via rubbings of the 16v badge. I'm not sure if I'm entirely happy with the result.....yet.
Anyway, see what you think.
1 and 3 look ok.

I've got to get some new front tyres after Castle Combe. It's just mo fun driving the car how it is at the moment. The steering, probably the best thing about the car, is all over the place.

Why do a badge when the Astra GTE 16v had a sticker? If you go to the downloads section, there is a vector image of the 16v badge that I made years ago. it is in .cdr format and any graphics place can use it. If you can open it, you could easily make it an 8v sticker instead.

Ok - it is just that they did a 16v badge on the early Cavalier SRi 16v - the badge looked just like the 16v sticker on the Astras - though this is what you were doing.

I think its a great Idea! Be proud of your car, you've put in a hell of a lot of work in to it and you can easily worry 16v'ers

2 is the best
I like it Gander! With the 16 then the v nestled up against the 6 easily enough, but I think the 8 should be more symmetrical, like what you've done. The other option is to squish the top left of the 8 so it looks less B like.
On the radiusing, I think, like 2, but with more clear centre indent. Just like what you've done to it.
I'm going to play around at work tomorrow.
