Question Meshed grille....+ Vaux V grille?

Had to take off the grille on Saturday to sort out the headlight adjuster...

therefore i thought i may aswell mesh the grille.....
a short trip to a local Range store and i returned home with:

    1) Mesh (square hole) @ £2.79 for a massssive sheet (could do 3 or 4 Nova grilles comfortably) plus its fully galvenised result
    2) Cheapo tin snips @ £1.69
    3) No more nails clear-setting silicone type sealant @ £3.99

£8.47 for it all in!!! ideal....

after careful snipping away of the original grilles slats etc, i am now still waiting for my over-the-top use of the glue/sealant to dry as its been very wet etc here and is slowing the drying time down....

i have the standard black-backed round griffin on the bonnet, was wandering on opinions of sourcing and fitting a V grille onto this soon???

Personally i think that all vauxhalls, including the new ones look better without the V grille on them.

I temporary fitted one to my nova to see what it looked like a couple of years ago and i prefered it with just the mesh.

    Thats my opinion.

thats what i am thinking mate...

i have updated the badges on the rear with 2001 Spec chrome Corsa badges of VAUXHALL and the griffin, and am soon to make up the word NOVA with cut-and-shut other badges...

wanted to update the front to....just wandering on peoples opinions.......cheers mate

i suppose i could just upgrade the bonnet badge?!?

    Exactly.

Take the case with the Vectra, it looks ok with a V grill, nothing special, but change it for an irmchser one with just mesh and it transforms the front of the car totally.

you should buy this months Total Vauxhall, there is a company called "Kickin Griffin" and they sell a chrome Nova badge, their phone number is 0800 542 9695. I suspect it would work out cheaper than buying different badges straight from vauxhall.

With regards to the front, use the old "less is more" statement, i personally think that it would look better without a bonnet badge or anything, if you really want a badge what about an irmscher badge in the grill? or do something to the bumpers, i.e cut out with mesh or a splitter etc?

    just an idea?
