you'd need to trim the bumper - the nexia bumpers go right up to the rear lights, the belmont lights have a metal panel under them.

    Does anyone still remember me?

From what I can remember the Nexia bumpers look very similar to the "Le Mans" in the USA which was the Astra Mk2 over here.

i think the saloon version of the nexia has the recess already in it. the hatch number plate is in the same position as the astra and mounted on the tailgate. i have just put my boot back on after flushing it and i just modded the original bumper for now to fit a fiesta plate recess in.once i sort out my digi camera i'll try and stick some pics up.

    Hey Orbital,

You nabbing my idea for the nexia rear end on the Belmont?
Have you managed to fit it yet?

I managed to get a hold of a rear bumper about 3 months ago, but due to the usuall problems like having to re-build the top end on the car, I have not had a chance to get it done.

Have you sussed out how to fit it yet, I like you was surprised once I got the damn thing off, after having to remove about a thousancd plastic clips and crap. I managed to get the front metal bumper bar also, so if I can get a hold of a front plastic bumper I can get the front done too.

I am sure that all you will have to do is cut the section just above the end of where the vauxhall bumper would have stopped and then possible have to drill new mounting holes, as looking at it, the mounting is similar to the vauxhall, but offset slightly.

Keep me posted on how your getting on with it.

    Cheers

i've just sorted out the bumper it ain't as easy as just cutting that plastic bit off and drill new holes and bolt it on. when the top bit was vut off there was a gap between the the top of the bumper and the back of the car so had to make up a bit of plastic to bolt on so filler can be put on a smothed off. but it's on there now and the body shop has to do the filla bit and spray it up

    Hey Orbital,

    Bumper looking good mate....

What colour you going to end up spraying the car?

Someone on here sugested using a red bulb on a re-wired reverse light to counteract the probelm of the fog light. Should do the job I would have thought.

So you've had gap problems with the top section of the bumper. Was is a bit of a mare to get fixed or was it left to the bodyshop? At least I will know when it comes to getting mine done. I never got much of achance to offer the bumper up to my car to check for that, so I would have probable found the same.

I recon it will look good once you have it done and sprayed.
What you got planned forthe front end?

    Keep it going mate....

the car is going to be sprayed in white with a blue pearlecent

me and my dad made up the bit of plastic up from some stuff my dad had at work and bolted it to the white plastic bit. you could just put expanding foam in the gap but then you'll never be able to take the bumper off and if it get's a nock it might crack.

the front end is having a badboy gte bonnet and a 16v gte bumper with washer jets removed number plate bit cut out and meshed with the number plate monted on the z style spliter

only thing i'm going to have to weld on an extra section on my exhaust so it can be seen
