De-Badge
I know this was posted not long ago but i hav a 1996 red corsa and wish to de-badge it, however, is it likely to leave a mark on the bodywork where the paint has not faded. Thje paint quality is pretty good on the car but cannot be sure. just wondering who else on here has done this. Also, are they just stuck on with an adhesive?

They have like a sticky foam backing, so slice the badge off with some fishing wire or a guitar string or similar, then rub any remaining sticky foam off.
If the paintwork is obviously different, then you can use a paint cutting compound (like t-cut, but ideally a bit stronger) around it to try and blend the colours together.

Does the plastic trim along the side of the door work in the same way if you wish to get rid of it?

you can use the same technique just bit more elbow grease as it has alot a glue underneath!

it is an easy job to do.. just careful as its stronger and u dont wanna crack no paint

Is it likely to crack the paint then? the badges came off fairly easy, jus had trouble gettin the taky black stuff off.

possbly not, it was just worth mentioning, as my mate hacked at it and ended up cracking paint, if you take ya time, it'll come off with ease

pour boiling water over the rub strips, melts the glue an they will come off easy.
