Question Vectra door handles on mk3 astras

At the moment ive the cav, early astra type on the car. I wanted to get vectra door handles but ive been told that the locks are a fraction different & its best to get a vectra lock and key so its not advisable. Can anyone shed some light on this for me please and is there much difference in them?

late astras had vectra type handles, i would just use these,

but if you want the painted look, then, i 'think' you can use the smooth vectra ones but you need a astra metal backplate to use your old lock

Get late Astra back plates with the lock, and vectra painted handles.

swap the inserts from your old lock to the new one in the same order, job done.

There are 2 types of Astra lock though, make sure your key will go in.
