Engine bay cleaning

is there there any good home pruducts that are good for cleaning the engine bay and getting hoses black black as i got autoglym engine cleaner and i would,nt say it great.....

Gunk or the copy stuff by Auto Chemicals, and a bit of hard work with a sink brush. Black up the hoses with Meguiars Endurance Tyre stuff, purple gorgeous smelling gel. Don't use back to black spray it's evil silicone sheit.

much does steam cleaning cost as the foam stuff on the back of the engine is covered and the hoses at the bottom seem to be covered in what to look like a day of horsing around and a sandy feild
