are you actually having problems finding a partner? i would have thought loads of people would have wanted in on this, sounds like your soon going to be a very rich man.

any plans on expanding? such as same kind of alarm but for house/garage etc?

Yes. Not the phone egactly, but main part of GSM phone designed just for embedded purpose. Like this one in my case. So you have SIM in this box (alarms box), and with SIM you get phone number. So Car has it's own phone number....
In boxes procesor, in it's memory, customer (in first time setup) add itself, and maybe few more owners, like his wife, son, brother or something. All of them have all the rights on alarm, and therfore all the rights on that car... In keyless design, you don't even have to have the keys of the car... Or leave the keys hidden inside...

It's even greater when the car is used by more than one man. So, anybody on the list, can unlock the car with simple phonecall, and powerup engine with hidden keys inside (if keyless function isn't installed)....

Possibilities are huge.... It supports everything, but on installer and customer depends, what will your car have installed....

Also "the boss" can controll drivers where do they go. and even, there are spy functions, and many more...

And as I sad, if you have some great idea that is possible, I would add it to the software...

Exporting to EU is mine gold also... But first I have to arange serial production, and all the paper work regarding the state, to do it legaly. I have more than 10 test cars here in croatia with litle older generation of SMScommander. Within this 3 years I'm working on it, it was evolving from 1st generation, to 2nd, and 3rd generation.... I had problems, bugs, but intime software was evolving. Now the first prototype of 4th generation is inside my car, and I hope that it would be in serial production...
1st and 2nd was kinder play... 3rd generation have a potencial, but it's not robust enough for serial, and it have a lak of procesor memory....

So, I have used best atmel intel compatible microcontroller so it can support future needs of customers, and newer tehnology I would add to it like bluetooth, gprs, CAN, GPS, etc...

So, it's not something designed over night. That why, I would like to theraly test it localy before I do the export...

Maybe we could arange some test users in UK on migweb in a meanwhile, also...

2theboy: If it breaks, you have another functions to pass and drive the car. You will still have lound sound alarm, and remote controller (keys) to enter the car and drive. So it's not totaly dependt only on GSM... With GSM you can disable remote controller. But not in the other way. You also have backup car entry if all other means fails. Hidden button with pin to enter...

2other: Thanks guys.... Maybe I would need your help to make some small group of testers in mig, and mabe you could help me getting paperwork done in uk.
Primarly my interest is cars and moving objects. But, houses, weekend houses, etc, or any other object isn't excluded. That is something that will come later.
I have a few test weekend houses (without wire phones line and electricity) in forest, that have this kind of security... Alarm send SMS and call the owner if somebody brakes in...

You're going to have to get this product onto the market pretty quickly as there are already quite a few competitors out there.

Heres a cheapie - doesnt do half the stuff yours does but its not far off :

I've also seen some other stuff with GPS linked to the GSM and a spec not far off what you're offering. But that was quite a while ago.

How long do you think it will be before your product comes to market ?

Are you using a proprietary GSM module or does this interface with an existing phone ?

It's pretty complicated. You have about 40 wires from alarm. But with added relays for engine start up, all features as I have would and up with wireing over 100 wires...

No. But it's never the case, that baterry will run flat. It always have enough juice to open the door. Unless you left you car for a long time without fireup engine. In this cases (because I dont have door keys anymore) I prefere to left one hidden wire that I will connect outside battery if something like this should happen, just in case.. I didn't use it, but I like it there...

For God sake, not mine houses...

1st is kinder playground. It uses Siemens C35 connected to it... lmao lmao

2nd is just like VIPER GPS system, and very expansive. It doesn't have much options... And you depend on their service, on the internet...

3rd is way way too expansive. Again not much options.
