urgent --- rims on cally T .... offset help!!

hi looking at getting a set of rims for my 4x4 cally turbo...

    they are used.....

the question basically is... will they fit my car??

    specs...

    18" by 7.5" ..

    tyres

    215/35/18

    offset

    +52

i know they will fit but the worrying thing is the offset.. i know that the stock one is +49 and these rims are wider by an inch ... i know you can have around 40 offset but what about a 52 offset??

please help as they are really cheap and i can get these drilled to my stud pattern... cant find cheaper rims here.. so need to know if they are a go or not..

had a loo and there isnt much clearence at the front as it is to the struts?? standard height at the moment but will be lowered with koni yellows and eibach 30mm springs

guess i could always fit spacers no??? or would the wheel bolts not fit then?

35 offset is what it should be - especially on a wider wheel

I'm now doing the same - an every fooking rim I find that is what I am wanting are not in the correct PCD or the offset is too far out.

Found one set now though - only they only do it in 17"

here in oz peopel with 7.5 " rims or even 8" rims by 18" have been getting +40 or higher... they with 40- they say it scrubs at times and optimal is +45 as the stamndard one is +49...??

now i am confused as i have been told not to get under +40 and you say +35 ...

in australia its alot harder than in uk i bet to find rims though...

so i guess these are out of the question??

If the wheel has a higher offset the further the wheel goes into the car so on the 52mm you have seen you can fit a wheel spacer to bring the wheel to the desired off set (personally i think 35mm is a little low). If the the wheel has say an 30mm offet then they would stick further out off the car which means that they would need to be machined down to the desired offset.

On deep dished rims - this is where I am having the problem as they tend to be wider (8x17 or even 9/10x18) so best stick with 35 so u know it'll fit. Worse case is maybe fit a spacer on the rears to make "look" a little nicer.

I agree that around 35mm would be better for a 9 inch wide rim but he was looking at 7.5 so i wouldnt go that low.

If you get a 12mm spacer then you can run the wheels above if its a 40mm offset you want.

I found some 18" BMW rims with an offset of 13 and stud pattern of 5x120 which is totally different to the vauxhall 5 stud wheel.

    BUT...

Found some hub adpaters that will change from 5x110 (standard VXL fitment) to Porsche 5x130 or BMW 5x120 they are 20mm or 25mm wide adapters so with a high offset you'll be OK.

Only arse for me is being 13 offset - peeps will be tripping over the rims lmao

yeah seen that but they are VERY expensive.. made by h&r right?

so how would a normal spacer work though as i dont have any thread to put it over as the cally uses bolts insteead of wheel nuts so not sure how i'd get the wheel on with the spacer staying in place so that i could put the bolts in??

anyone got any links for any spacers?? around 10mm? or something?

yeah thats a bit rich for me.. i can spend 140 pounds for 2 pairs and for the same price i could pay the extra and get new rims..

anyways would something like this work??

    http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI....MakeTrack=true

just not suire how i'd get it to hold when putting the bolts in the wheel... maybe tack it onto the rims with a bit of silicone till i could get the wheels on?
