    lightweight bonnet issues

    Got a mk1 astra and at serious speed the bonnet lifts and its not on the latch,ive spent a lot of time and effort on modding it to sit but with no joy so need to sort the bonnet out (before it kills me) with either;

    Carbon fibre for light weight issues
    glass fibre
    or standard steel with cool louves.

    I'll be running a calibra turbo in her in a few months so heating is an issue as well so i like the louves. i want to do away with the latch etc so its either 4 pins on the corners or dragster push twist pin clips (flush fitting)

    my Question is; does anyone know anyone who can make carbon fibre bonnets or do cool louves and do they have and sites or numbers to find out more... anything considered as i know this aint exactly off the shelf stuff more of the same with me -Bespoke!

    Infact please disscuss all of the above....

    Many thanks in advance
    Cheers Tom

    theres a kid on novaload that you do fiberglass anything...
    i'll try and find his email address...

    pins just look unsightly and the drag car finish clips fit flush...

    Cheers if you can sort me out with out!
