Fitting Astra GSi Spoiler onto Non GSi

I picked up the rest of my GSi kit last night (Back bumper & Rear Spoiler) and i noticed that on the rear spoiler it looks like there are two lugs on the pillars that run down each side of the rear screen... does this mean ive gotta drill through my bodywork or is there a way around it via sticking etc...

Anyone had the same problem and solved it???

    Let me know - thanks!

    .

i got both the rear bumper and spoiler for £50...

excellent condition but was in Diamond Black... got them re-sprayed off the same guy for £70... look wicked now!

not fitting the back bumper until after my MOT (tomorrow) because ive only got one number plate light!!! i wanna fit it now!!!

so you would recommend drilling then..... hmmm.... i dont fancy it but if you think that looks best then thats what i will do!!!

    will keep you updated!

It'll all depend on what you use to stick it and how much preparation you do to how good sticking will turn out.

    'Tis upto you .

    thanks dave and andy!

    cheers lads for your opinions...

in the end i went with drilling it because i didnt fancy cutting any of the lugs off although it did hurt drilling through it!!!

Here is a pic of my spoiler now its on the car (another different pic also in "Changes to Olly's Car in a Month" (Page 2) click here to see it... http://www.migweb.co.uk/forums/showt...3&pagenumber=2 bottom of the page

    Looking good.
I should have a GSi spoiler in the coming weeks. Drilling is the best way to go about fixing it, if you wanna be extra safe, drill and bond it on.

Theres some around on MIG, cannot be arsed to be looking for them.

At the mo, bodywork is pretty much standard, the original alloys were nicked off the car 1 week prior to me buying it so steelies are on at the mo (better than 3-spokes though lmao).

Although the Technomags will be here shortly even though they wont be going on the car until it goes in for its massive overhaul.
