    White Dials

Thinking about fitting them. Now although I like them I am worried about problems people have with the amount of light that shines through them from behind.

Apparently, it's not so good and certain bits look lighter than others.

    Is it worth it?

Si, if you get a decent set (Lockwood) and no cheap imitations, and fit themn properley you should have no problems with things such as 'not enough light' and 'different shades of light' etc.

I have a set of Lockwood's in mine (see TomH's post in Chit chat) and I have no problem with them what so ever, in fact I have my dimmer turned right down 'cause they're that bright!!

Yeah, think I'd only go for Lockwood. They do look nice Andy.

You say it's brighter? That's good. Does it look like they have always been there? ie, not look like a tacky add-on (I'm talking about when they are lit up at night)

    Cheers

BTW, does the '4' dictate the days left untill bodywork is done?

IMHO they don't look tacky at all. Look like a GM part if u ask me apart from the tiny little logo on the rev counter. As far as I know, there are two different types as far as illumination goes: the old type wich light up red or something and the newer type which the MPH illuminate that vauxhall orange and the kmh in blue.

It does indeed mate. With any luck mate it should be getting done Saturday, just awaiting a telephone call to confirm, otherwise I'm gonna have to postpone until after I've finished my degree .

What type have you got then mate? Think I'll have to pay a visit to Halfords.
Easy job to do as well isn't it? While the lot is out, I just as well replace
    all the bulbage!

Hope you manage to sort the car mate! Remember to mail me some pics as soon as
it's out of the body shop!

    Gold is cool.

I've got Lockwood white dials!! They are great using normal bulbs behind, but I went for red LED's anyway!!
Does look really good with the chrome surrounds though!!

They will look cool as white with white looks great

    BUT

personally I think the gold/yellow light that comes through looks awful and cheap and urgh urgh lmao

If I didnt have blue LED's behind mines then I would have taken off them off a long time ago.

Mmmmmmmmm, what to do, what to do!!!

If I do get the white dials, I might do a TomH and get the chrome surrounds. Will kinda resemble the Astra Coupe dash then. Then of course I'd have to go for the Astra MK4 interior handles as well!

Incidently after putting it off and putting it off, my MK4 Indicators are finaly on! After washing my car the other day and loosing an Orange nipple I got the incentive to do it! Wish I'd done it ages ago! Certainly modernises the look of the car. Just gonna have to get phase 2 mirrors now!

i might be. Unsure yet, all depends on what car I get to replace mines.

if I get a GSI then some things might get swopped back and forth.
