this might make you laugh, but is it possible? tailpipes..

basically...to get my exhaust to fit it had to be modded and because of this the tail pipe sits in to far and looks a little gay ala pic...

is it so silly of me to conisder this? i want a twin 3" back box, longlife will do one for 150 quid...but my mates really hand with a welder, and well could i just have the tail piece of my current back box cut off and have this put on?

    Link for tail pipe

Views, it'll cost 25 quid instead of 150! hmm?

yeah go for it, cut off old tailpipe, weld that one on. No point getting another back box if all you want is a different tailpipe

You'll need to test fit it first before welding......tack it on so you can reposition (assuming he'll be welding off the car) otherwise it will end up on the p iss

lol, I had a similar idea on my rover 620. I couldn't be asred spending any money on the 2.0l grandad mobile. But I was bored one day and decided to chav it up, just for the hell of it. So I took the back box off and replaced it with a 3" flexi pipe and that exact twin exit tip you have a pic of. Amazingly it sounded pretty good. I also stuck a pipercross filter on it off an AX. And it has a loose gasket on the down pipe that actually whistles under load.

I actually had a bloke in a 2.3L Merc with a full SS system that cost over £300 asking me what I had done to is as i sounded better than his. He wasn;t so pleased when he found out I spen £20 on it

Plus the local chavs on the car park are now convinced its a 500bhp turbo monster as it whistles when you boot it and backfires when you let the engine slow the car down. lol and the best bit is it's automatic that's about as quick off the mark as an astmatic ant.

I'm thinking of sticking an ironing board on the boot lid and sending a pic of it to barryboys

Does it have to be welded? It may clamp on after cutting the tail pipe section off....

May have to cut two slits in to let the metal bend, but its easier than welding, and adjustable.
