fitting a spoiler to an astra mk4

anyone give any guidelines to fitting a spoiler

there was a standard spoiler which was removed and holes were drilled by a bodyshop for the new irmscher replica spoiler.

so can anyone tell me exactly i will need in terms of material and what to do.

i dont think it will be hard as there holes are already drilled, but it has 2 sets as the old ones are still there,

i want to make sure nothing rusts

What spoiler is it your gonna be fitting? If it's a vauxhall spoiler then you can fix it straight through the original holes, if not u may have to drill another set of holes, however seen as you don't really want a collinder for a boot you may want to have the un needed holes either professionally filled and sprayed, or at the very least paint the inside of the holes to prevent rust.

Yeah, what car and what spoiler? Irmscher make a far few for the different vehicles.

the hoels have already been drilled

    its a replica irmscher spoiler

was thinking of rust proofing the holes, the other set fit under the spoiler legs, and using tigerseal under the legs which will cover the holes and keep them water tigh, also use some from inside the boor to try and stop water getting to holes

Sorry, not understanding this. It had a spoiler that was fitted originally? Removed, filled and now he's got another?

Unless it's an ECO4, then it'll have the same spoiler as you've just bought so it should line up if it's a decent replica.

no there was a spoiler originally fitted, which sagged, so a new one was bought from ebay and it was given to the bodyshop.

a new hole was driled, the picture below will show you.
