    Calibra Footwell

Seem to have a wet patch in the passengerside footwell of my Cally, I vaguely remember something about this elsewhere, is it a common issue and where should I be checking for holes?

One of the drainage channels could be blocked. Have a good check round your roof rails, bulkhead etc...

Not a Cally but, I had this in my Astra 2 weeks ago, Every body was saying, oh its the blocked sock, or blocked sunroof drain.

Turned out to be a perished grommit where the water pipes for the heater matric come thru. So i wacked some silicon sealent around them and good as new now

I had eactly the same problem with my old cally, water started gathering ng in the passenger footwell, after checking all other things like roof gutter, door seals, and floor plugs, it turned out to be the water ran down the gap between door and the car body near the hinge side, someone previously fitted more powerfull speakers and ran seperate cables for these extra speakers, and the rain water eneters the gap near the wing mirror, from there it runs or drips on the wires that someone ran from the front pillar side into the side of the door so they did not use a gromet and the water (rain water) dripped along this wire, enters the door, and from the door it leaks into the inside of the car rather than the outside ! cured the problem by putting silicon dollop around the cable entery.

    Had this last year -

My windscreen got replaced last year and the bloke who fitted it used a universal rubber. Because it's universal it didn't fit the screen proper and left a gap either side of the screen in the bottom corners.

Still not repaired it yet with a genuine rubber Need to get one really. Anyway when it snowed early this year. When it melted it ran into this gap and into the footwell (both sides)

I had about 1/2 inch of water in it and obviously never noticed as I weren't using the car lmao I also had it jacked up at the front and so that didn't help either

Soon cleared it up though and it took a few days to properly dry out. Got to cover it up though and always check after heavy or prelonged rainfall

Trig you'll be welcome on there. I've literally seen about 2 arguments in the 2 years I've been on there... they are a bunch of fairly quiet folk. It's also a lot smaller than MIG with probably only about 20% of the activity and posting.

Get on there mate you'll be welcomed
