Dunno about TD's or only one model but...

The very early (F plate) cavalier GLS's (I think) had a carpet that was like real carpet - not the 'fluff' that they mostly had across the vaux range.

I managed to find an absolute mint one in a F plater in the breakers and took it all out. It's proper black (not the naff grey) and also had the seat rails plastic cover coveredin carpet too. It really is one of those things that sets it apart from 'all the other mk3's... '

Hum interesting Dom. I've had a few 'black' carpets out of facelift cars but when held up to this other one they always turned out to be greyer (well compared to this black one anyhow).

Also Dom is it a carpet with a pile (like your posh home carpet) or is the usual fluff type of one?

Dunno - havent spent much time on the carpet

I wouldnt say it was a dark pitch black carpet - more like a "light black" if that makes any sense. Its slightly lighter than the trim around it which is black and isnt fluffy - just the same kind of texture as the stuff you get on the rear parcel shelf.

Dom - forgotten what they call it now - but basically I think that's their usual black.

Hum. Never ever seen a 'proper pile carpet' on any cav. Only on this one I got mine for.

I've got a black cav Turbo carpet and that's not a proper pile one either.
