Howdy,
Anyone know of anyone who manufactures aftermarket reverse lift shaft/leavers? Maybe in aluminium or chromed or something like that? If I remember correctly, Isotta used to do them - but not anymore.
Cheers,
IK

Howdy,
Had a look on their site, but the only gear shafts I can find say this: "NOT SUITABLE FOR LIFT REVERSE GEAR KNOBS"

...and are cheap crap.Originally Posted by CraigG

hes not after a gear knob mate, hes after a cover, for the shaft that comes up to join the gear knob.

Well, it seems the only option there would be to get a short throw Gear Lever from B&M. Anyone got one of these on their Astra F?

What exactly are you after now? I'm getting confused now with CraigG's post. Is it the gear knob itself?Originally Posted by IK200

Giles, you got a pic? Is this the one you got?

Yep thats the one. Although mine also has the B&M gear knob on top (billet ali with B&M milled into it - very nicely made).
It's a quality bot of kit. Very well made and feels 'right' too (if that makes sense).
Cuts down travel between gears but not too much (enough to make a differance though).
I definatly recommend it if you have the cash to spend.
Do you know if this will fit onto the Astra F without a problem? Also, I gather then that is does have the lift reverse built into it?

That's a Mk3 Astra over here.
The Mk3 astra, Cavalier and Calibra share most mechanical parts. I *think* they share the gear shift too.
Can anyone confirm??
Confirmed.Originally Posted by Giles

Not that the Cavalier was ever available in SA....but there are some Calibras about.
You ordering from here then?
Once I got the money together, I will have to order it. No chance finding something like that here.

the shaft, its usually covered by a gaiter, and is a boring black colour, u get shafts that slide over them and are stainless steel, looks much nicer than the standard black.
