    Way too Fast :-/

The black paint on new panels?

As above. Whats the score for proper prep with this?

Years ago it was just for storage (iirc) If you sprayed on it after prepping it used to just chip off as it wasn't 'bonded' to the panel properly.
What do you do now? Someone told me it was an etch primer, just rub it down and spray it up.
    Help!

Yep, its a primer/etch, Just need to buzz it down with P320 and depending on colour you may be able to "wet on wet" it, (apply paint straight after priming - well after its flashed off)

It is electrocoat. It has good anti rust properties, but it can be very thin so be careful that you don't rub through it when flatting it. If you do then you will need to apply a coat or two of decent etch primer to be safe.

i went through the black stuff on the nova wings when rubbing down, and adding a mild ammount of topstop for dinks, but they did get a nice plentiful coat of high build ontop though and about 3 coats of paint lol.

It depends on the quality of the panels. On cheap panels it is just a protective coat and must be removed and a high zinc etching primer applied.

its bullet proof primer, the best ull get. only thing is when u flat it down u rub thru and then thats where u have to etch prime the bare metal, and then wet on wet the panel. its the best primer available tho.
