I wouldn't alter anything on the car from what I can see in the photoshop pic either. I'd just fit the skirts and diffuser and leave the suspension height as it is![]()
i like that![]()
i hate the world
The pic looks lower at the rear than it actually is due to the angle, in real life the tyre is just in the arch so thinkin a 20mm drop will just put the tyre in the arch a bit more.
DON'T PANIC!!! lol I love lowness but you can go to low! and it has got to sit level. I know exactly what you mean about goin to low, and the front kickin up would look CHAV!!!
Should have the diffuser and skirts on before christmas, just thought would see what people think. I ain't into big bodykits but thought these mods should look nice. Will post pics when its done
Thanks for your posts.
P.S plan for exhausts, side exits through the skirts in the future
anymore comments welcome.
Yeah looks good mate, would look better with no handles and side repeaters though.
Lovin the rims, really suit the Cav
thats is one mint wagon...
Am liking that a lot
Personally I'd go for some more subtle skirts buts that just my opinion
what rear apron u got? reiger attached to a normal cav rear? i.e. not a gsi rear bumper cause of angles/shape etc....?
looks nice wheels set it off aswell![]()

Too low IMHO gives the impression of the suspension being totally shafted.Originally Posted by Adam
Doesn't look quite as low in the other pic. Must be the angle it's taken at.
Hi guys,
Thanks for the comments, the rear bumper i have on at the moment is a gsi, the pic is a photoshop with side skirts and rear apron.
Just seein wot people think, i am sure on the skirts just not sure about the rear, either the sri bumper with the rear extension or the gsi bumper with the rear extension.
Also, that pic thats been posted of a low cav, mine it lower on the front and I am lowerin the rear a bit more soon.
Altho have to say the pic thats been posted is my favourite cav very nice!! I am goin for somethin a bit different but not OTT!
Will be ready for newyear :-)

that looks nice, i hate cav's, mainly because all you see on mig are tuned, standard looking cavs. you never see sensibly modded ones. so yeah, that gets my thumbs up!![]()

That looks really nice mate, but can you actually drive in comfort with it that low?
Got any observations on the ride quality, road noise, handling - and the last but definatly not least - speed bumps?
Also - side exit exhaust - great in theory, would look really mean, but is it plausable on a car that low? Don't they usually have to do loads of cutting to the floor to route the pipes?
Keep us updated.
Kev Symour - Have to admit its not the most comfortable ride but then its not supposed to be. I like my cars low and if it has to be a bit stiffer then so be it. I drive it every day down country lanes to work and its alrite, just the big pot holes on our cr@p roads that are a problem. I can soften it up with the suspension settings but I like it stiff.
Road noise it no different from any normal car, on the handling side its fantastic compared to the standard set up. You can push it round corners and it stays very nicely, no bodyrole or anthing, new tyres help :-). On the speed bump front, I don't have too many problems at the moment but with the new skirts and sidepipes at some point bumps may become a problem.
I want a cav thats a bit different from all the normal gsi kitted lookin ones, and to be a bit different some sacrafices have to be made.
Cheers
Good on you mate! In my opinion, The Lower the better!!! I remember seeing this car when it was lowered 60mm and it was soooo high! Now it looks great! Get those bits fitted and put some more pics up.... with a side Exit![]()
Neil
That seriously looks good, what rear bumper extension is that mate, be nice to see the pics when its all done![]()
Redtop - thanks mate, glad everyone is liking the plan, the rear extension is made by reiger, they do one for the normal bumper or Sri and one for the Gsi bumper.
Will have some pics up when its done
is this a new line then? as i only ever knew reiger to do rear aprons to fit the sri rear bumper and not gsi
any pics of the different bumpers fitted with aprons?
cheers adam

I saw one at trax with a reiger rear extension for a gsi bumper, although I think i am going to have the one for the sri bumper anyway.
lookin sick mate, nice1![]()
