    Dint removal?

I put a lovely dint in my drivers door today, and was wondering how much dent wizaed would roughly charge to remove it? Or anyone got any good diy ideas on how to remove the dint?
    Cheers Andy

looks a bit to big and creased for the dent wizard type people, but probably worth asking them to come and look at it.

they usually charge around £60 per panel

Yeh i thought it might be a lil ***ed. Was reversing my car up the drive with the door open so i could see when i was getting close to the wall, looked over at the other corner then bang the edge of the door hit the wall, might have twisted the edge of the door.
Might just fill it and paint it.

give the dent guys a bell first, if they cant get it out completely they might be able to knock most of it out so its less to fill

ive seen these guys work miracles with dents before now.

Cool will give them a ring tomorrow, my only fear is that i might have twisted the door slightly, it no longer sits flush as u can see in the pics.

if the door is twisted you'd probably have to buy a new door and get it resprayed. This is what i had to do when i cut the corner short on a multistorey car park and scraped the back door. Paid £25 for the door from a scrappy. We had to have the whole side of the car resprayed cos it was metallic but you might be able to get away with that.

Cheaper geting a white door at the scrapy/breakers yard than getting that fixed...

Just change the lock barrel to the new door ..

Benn it is a nova, even u know how hard it is to find a mint driver door. Whats that tool where u drill a hole and use a tool to pull the dint out?

    you dont drill,
its a spot welding gun thing,
it welds a small pin on to the metal you can then use a slide hammer on to pull dents out...
but a dent removeal man wont use one of them, and they wouldnt do a dent that big,
they do "parking" dents,ie:small ones you can knock out...

whites an easy colour to paint,so you'll be surprices on a price,
and with the dent there, its best to pull out as much as you can,
cause that bit of the door takes a beating when slammed and things,
so you cant just fill it till smooth...lol

Ive pulled the dint out the best i can and that is what im left with, i cant seem to get access to the the rest of the dint coz of the struture of the door being in the way, the dint was worse than that when i 1st did it, the crease line went right upto the door barrel

    nice,
is a hard place to knock out....
if you wanna try your self,
bit of flat wood (thick) on the out side of the door, and hit the dent gently from the inside with a flat hammer....but be carefull as sometimes it can be made worse.

most of that should pull out, however you will have a faint line running down the panel were it folds on itself. if you can get something with some suction on it most of it will pop out leaving you with a few creases to tidy up and some high spots to knock down were the door lock mechanism is

dent wizard charge £85+vat per panel and most of em don't touch older cars, I know I used to work for them
