    Bodyshops dont spray whole side of a car for one panel because its metallic, they do it because the paint around the panel might be faded, most cases they do it because they have muppets mixing there paint.

    White is a evil colour to match! Inless your car is in good shape (esp a nova) then id agree that panels around the damaged panel would need to be faded into the old paint with fadeout thinners.

    Even tho i wouldnt suggest anyone to do a home DIY repair that size! best leaving full door paints to the pro's
