    Vinyl roof covering?

The paint is really faded on my roof (and the doors/bonnet) but can't afford it to be resprayed. Was thinking of having a sheet of flame red vinyl (or other such plastic sheet) put over it.

I'm pretty sure i can get the rest of the car looking better with a damn good polishing, but the roof looks a bit further gone.

    Good or Bad idea?

I did also think about having that carbon look film put on from the bonnet to the boot, but that would look gash on an otherwise standard looking car.

Just spend the money having a bodyshop mop it for you annd then wax it a lot afterwards.

Thought that might be the consensus.
