    Variable Electronic window tints?

The Maybach has what they call an 'electro-transparent' panoramic glass roof which can be 'switched from opaque to transparent'.

Anybody know if this sort of thing is available for the aftermarket?

I've found some info on Electrochromic windows, but they're for buildings, just wondered if had been developed for cars yet?

Save your money on getting the glass replaced and find someone that does a spray that reacts to light. problem is most of the sprays I've found on the web change from dark to light (like glasses) not the other way.

Would be good to see someone come up with a product.

you must have heard of that electroluminescent (sp) vinyl.. well its the same.. you can buy it as clear to black.. the higher the voltage you throw at it the lighter it gets.. i.e. turn off power.. jet black... turn on power.. and have any level of tint you want...

Looked into this and quoted around £12000 for doing the mk4 astra.. laughed in their faces of course.
