    Car Badges (letters) Where from??

    Hi,

Im after some lettered Badges, The sort that the new SEAT's have saying the model of the car on the rear tailgate.... Basically I want to write
"C A L I B R A" across my flush tailgate panel in letters about 1.5"-2" tall. Does anyone know where I can get these made up? or do any companies already make large silver letters??? I've looked on the web but can't much.

    Cheer for any help.

    Neil

Won't having those letters spoil the "flush" smooth look?

Just looks a bit naff in my opinion

ditto what feeney said, spoils the smooth look.

other thing to consider is vandals will be more likely to steal a letter or to from the boot and wreck your lettering which would look even more naff.

    What do you wanna spell?

I'm sure you can get most letters in Vauxhall badges when you look at all the model names.

You'd also be surprised how many variants there are of Vauxhall letters, it ain't as simple as you may think, I've been trying to make up something for a while now and still haven’t quite cracked it.

Ebay is a good place to look for chrome lettering.

Later (99 on IIRC) Vectra, Omegas etc, changed to individual letters that are bigger than the previous joined up lettering.

you'll also find that with the older lettering the "Vauxhall" badge uses different font to the model names

with the newer individual lettered badges i think this has stopped tho
