    Alloy wheel prepping

A friend of mine is giving my a set of alloys in the next few weeks and i intend to have them sprayed black.
So i was just wondering if someone could please do a step by step guide on prepping them ready for spraying i.e the best way to get the old paint and laqure off and what grade wet and dry. Im not bothered about how to spray them because i have someone to do that for me.

    Many thanks in advance.

I did my old nova steel wheel as a spare the other day.

200 grit to get the rust off, gave it a jet wash, 400 grit, then 800 grit to smooth it off Wiped it clean, then primer, then satin black spray.

    Thats it
