Question Weight of 17" wheel and tyre for posting?

Would anyone care to venture a guess?

I've sent several tyres and wheels in the last few months and I think the last tyres I sent were 17" jobbies and they cost about £11 each. I think Royal Mail standard parcels charge £11.25 for up to 20kgs, so my question is simple, does a 17" wheel and tyre weigh more than 20kgs. Normally I'm good at guessing but I am not sure, I think probably just under, perhaps 18kgs or so. Does anyone know or am I gonna have to get the suckers weighed?

well i enquired into sending some 16's a while ago and used the good old bathroom scales, probably not entirely accurate but it came in at just under 20kgs that was without tyres! So as a an guess, i'd say that 17's with tyres would be over 20kgs
If everything's under control, you're not going fast enough!

I posted a 16" BMW Mini alloy wheel and tyre with Royal Mail standard parcels for about £15.

Just weighed one on my bathroom scales, 20kg's exactly. Let's hope the post office scales say the same!
