Cool Fitting Cold Cathodes in Footwell.

I GOT 3 WIRES TO CONNECT - RED, YELLOW AND BLACK

I'm pretty sure the Black is Earth.

Red and yellow go to the switch.

Red and Black go to inverter.

What i need to know is where to connect my yellow [positive feed] wire and what if anything would be close enough to connect the earth wire onto?

    Any advice or suggestions appreciated.

    Cheers

In all the inverters I've installed, there has only been black and red wires. Just put a switch between either wire and wire it to the cigarette lighter feeds.

you could take it from the positive feed on the glove compartment bulb, however that will only come on when the ignition is turned on (you may want this)

If not, take a wire straight from the battery, wire it through the grommet, behind the dash to the switch. I mean, you may as well if your wanting to wire other components as well.

Basically, any red wire you can find in the car should be a permanent live. ( I think...)

Oh, and as for the earth (sorry for the triple post) just attach that to any random bolt you can find going into the car chassis. The whole chassis is connected to the battery earth.

Good to hear your concerned about making your wiring safe... I havent bothered, but I guess you could get hold of a fuse holder and stick in a 3 amp fuse for good measure.... Helps prevent fires and all...

Wire it as close to the battery if you can.

Btw, getting the wire through the grommet will be a pain in the ass
