Black - is there only one black?

Were MK3 cav's all the same black? - ie diamond black?

In particular were all GSi's and turbos diamond black?

    I thought they were???

Oh - what is the colour code of diamond black?

    Cheers

    Oh. Hum....

Basically I've got a diamond black cav and I'm looking at buying some 'black' gsi bumpers. Just trying to find out if they will be diamond black too as the bloke doesn't have the rest of the car.

I saw a solid black Cav a looooong time ago and it was an "L".. every single other one I've ever seen has been diamond. So the likely hood is... it's the right colour.

My Astra is Diamond Black, 81L. Not only is the paint expensive (and came as an option when buying new), it's a nightmare to spray, never known anything like it!

i got some ford jetblack (2k) for £20/lt. then you need thinners and hardner for it. think for 3lts, 5lt 2kthinners, 3 1/2 lt hardner came to arround £110+ inc VAT from autopaint

The 2k paint they gave me was the best they do, really shiney stuff!! (3lts enough to do a whole car tho excl engine bay and inside, done all shuts tho)

On Calibra's there are two types of metallic black, and then jet black on the special editions and Turbo LE.

Don't know how much of that applies to Cav's though.

There's Midnight Black and Diamond Black. Midnight is more purpley metallic, whereas Diamond is more blue.

I think the blackest car I've seen is the Lexus black. It was so black, compared with the black cars parked next to it.
