Can any1 advise how to remove lower door seal (along sills)

I have some rust appearing on the sills (surprise-surprise) and want to remove the rubber seal that runs from front to back under both doors, also because part of the rubber has parted company with the metal trim that it is mounted on.

The trouble is I cant for the life of me see how the rubber / metal trim is held in place and dont want to get stuck in with a screwdiver or such, without knowing how they are attached.

Has anyone replaced these seals that would know what the cost ???

mines off its just held on by little studs so if you get a screwdriver or a flat blade under it they just pop off

You have 2 seals. One that's on the inner framework round the pillars and the other which runs from the front to the back. These are just secured on rivets. You have to pop the seal off the rivets as Sweeny said.

    Many thanks all,

I have tried to lever the trim off with a screwdriver and they do indeed just pop off, I just didn't want to force it without knowing for sure how they were fixed on.

I guess i've got no excuse now for not getting the sandpaper and spraypaint out to do something about the rust.

What a great place these pages are
