Removing Nova Glovebox

Ok so i'm removing the glovebox from my Mk1 Nova (if theives see there is no glovebox, theives cannot wonder if theres anything valuble inside the glovebox). I can remove it ok but I am faced with the problem of what next. i was thinking of buying a sheet of plastic ad putting it where the door was so its just a blank panal. any idea what type of plastic i would need or where i can get it?
thanks

Couldn't you leave the glovebox open to show there are no valuables inside?

Couldn't you fit an alarm and keep the glovebox?

Nice, well up to you if you take it out really, make a plastic blanking plate, maybe a tv screen in there aswell that you could remove.
