To strip or not to strip?

Right, have been offered a mint fixed back Cobra bucket at a worryingly cheap price.

Should I strip out seats, sound deadening and carpet, then just have a single bucket?

It's only a 1.4 at present, but am hopefully having a 1.8 8valve later in the year for some cheap fun

Would it be worth it, or just a bit dodgy as it's my daily driver...

question is, how comfy is ur current seat? you reckon u can bare it for a long time? hehe cos in my corsa after about 40mins of drivin feels like my ass is sat on plastic, thinking about bucket seats aswell but im bein put off by the extra height it adds to ur sittin position, and also seat belts look a bit crap on bucket seats.

Thats all i want to do to my Astra too Al. Just have to seats in the front and strip the rear out and have some sort of cage.
I did try stripping the back out before my visit to santa pod, and i had it like that for about 2weeks later. The thing was, it realy was inpractical for me. Im always carrying passengers so in the end the seats went back in.

Do u carry passengers much of the time?
If not, i think it might be nice to see it stripped out.

This is the problem, i do have passengers quite often Wouldn't bother me though - can always borrow a company motor

My current seats are like big *******ised beanbags to be fair - about as supportive as a blancmange! lol

Will have to think about it

Decent bucket seats are great. They are not uncomfortable too. I drove to Scotland and back sitting in the Sparco Ultras with no problems.
As to stripping out. It's a very cheap way of improving performance. It's good fun too. But it will eventually wear thin.
