Tigra Sideskirts

ive got a 98 reg tigra and rust has appeared behind the standard sideskirts it looks like only surface rust but i dunno how to remove them to get a proper look any help would be great

Go to a bodyshop and get it done professionally. Will need chopping out.

thats ok but i dont have much money at the moment after buying the car so i was looking for a cheaper alternative

should just unclip, if surface rust sand back treat with rust treatment aka kurust and hammerite.

I very much doubt it's surface rust if it's hiding behind a side skirt.

Well, they are only held in with clips and lugs. If you look on the underside of the sill, you'll see about 5 of them. These need to be removed. The skirt needs to be eased off the clips. You wont break the skirt, but you may break the clips. They are cheap and easy to replace anyway and are only clipped onto rivets.
