If you're not sure, remove the wiper, stick a grommit in the hole and live with it for a while: see how bad it is(n't) without a wiper as regards clearing the rear window etc, and see how you likt the looks. If you like it, go for it and get it smoothed, if not, stick it back on: no love lost.

ive got a rear hatch with the wiper/badge already removed/smoothed if your interested mate heres a pic when it was on the car, still got spoiler on too

Mine with badge removed but wiper swapped for a punto one.

(the car was a work in progress, btw)

Personal choice really, I've seen a few astras with things done that look nice but still wouldnt do to mine.

my opinion: de-badge it, put a punto rear wiper arm on it, and this I have done to mine, de-locked and handled the black panel but kept the reg plate on it, as IMO it dont look right on the bumper.

What sideskirts are these on this motor? they look like gm ones blended in correct? i love the colour looks superb, I saw pitures of the car a while ago but i cant seem to get them up, anyone got anymore pitures?
