    (pics)rocker cover text. -help me out-

    recently sprayed up my rocker cover and i think it looks fappin amazin!
    completley changes the engine bay
    the thing is, i think it looks plain and needs some sort of text on it.
    Any ideas?

    Looks quite nice. Craking idea with the colours. Needs finishing though. No shine on them...get at it with wet and dry. You lacquered them

    the oil cap needs re-doing, but the purple part has been laquered.
    dunno, i just think it needs either some chrome badging, or some chrome/silver vinyl!

    I like the finish of the silver part. Looks like brushed alloy. But the blue section needs flatting back. Send it to me in the post and I'll give that a shine like you've never seen!

    Lettering would totally ruin it IMHO.

    yeah easier than normal paint
    just gotta watch you dont over spray it as it takes the pi55 drying!
    but its pretty easy to work with

    How does that plasti coat stuff stand up to heat? like the inlet manifold?

    my entire rocker cover is done in plasticote purple metallic and its fine

    ive also done my brake calipers and brake servo in it and they are also fine

    its heat resistant upto about 220c if i remember rightly just the same as normal acrylic car paint
