Securing boost gauge pod to dash?

Plumbed the gauge into the ECU feed and its all ready to mount on the dash to the right side of the wheel.
Is just sticking a couple of black self tappers into the dash going to hold it?
There appears to only be about 12mm of soft stuff before it'll hit the vent ducting which, given the access with a screwdriver, I won't be able to self tap into.
What is the best way of securing it?

    ta
    Chris

Thats what I used the first time, wasn't happy with how it looked at all.
Dash pod looks much better imho.

I may at some point get a new trim strip for the pillar/roof and blend a pod into it properly.

Now that would be cool. Blend it in with filler and spray or trim the whole lot in something nice?
